We have found that many rescues do not want to adopt dogs to older individuals. While a puppy might not be for everyone, we think that pairing a senior dog with a senior is a win-win all around. Senior dogs are often quiet (and housebroken!) and just want to be lap dogs. Studies show that owning a dog helps people to stay healthier and happier.

CTDR has bonded pair dachshunds that need forever homes. We have dropped the adoption fees for these pairs so that they can find their forever homes together.
