Go to the details tab, right click column headers and add columns for memory commit, then sort memory commit. You have junk reserving memory that isn't rust. Rust is only using half your memory normally rebooting releases memory commits, of its a background service that is the problem. 3.Same happens to me. I've tried reinstalling, verifying game files, restarting comp and router, opening Rust ports, dropping firewalls, and running Steam and Rust Client as admin. I have a gigabit connection wired to my PC and no other games time out like this. My ping never drops below 45 and then suddenly I just stop being able to interact ...
