Sep 7, 2014 · Stoeger M3000. Picked up a m3000 in max5 camo with a 26" barrel. Took it out today for the first time to shoot sporting clays. I hadn't had a chance to shoot any high brass through it, and had only given it a good cleaning to get rid of the packing grease. Was worried about it cycling the light target loads, but had zero failures. Low base loads aren't great in the m3000. I recommend swapping out the factory extractor with a Benelli extractor, it is the same fit. I had issues ejecting low base shells, and even high brass in certain brands (Kent, Hevi-Metal). I swapped out the extractor and haven't had an issue since.If you can at all afford it, then skip the M3K and just buy a Benelli M2. I have at least 6 friends with the M3K, almost all have installed the Benelli extractor and about half of them can not get their gun to cycle consistently. It has something to do with the bolt not rotating enough when feeding a fresh shell.
