You will begin in a trinary star system, with each star having its own orbiting planetary bodies.Adaptability tree maxed out normally gives you the decision to scan a planet for more resources, but the void dweller variant says it's for "Orbital Survey." Wiki says this will give the habitat you use the decision on to gain a random district type that it didn't have, if the habitat only had 4 district types already.I will focus on that in my next playthrough. heepox • 2 yr. ago. The weakness of Void Dwellers is that there is going to be a point in the early game where you have to make the choice between investing alloys into a fleet or into more habitats. The latter option is more powerful and better in the long term, but leaves you weak against early aggression and unable to be aggressive early yourself. It gets even more powerful if you're playing something like void dwellers and spamming habitats everywhere, and even as a planet dweller you can still have breeding farm habitats or small planets that you resettle from to wherever you need. This trait just seems like the most powerful option in the game that you'll end up taking every single time.Once you are able to start building habitats consistently is when you really snowball. A nice side effect of rushing alloy production to make habitats is that you'll also be able to build a big military if you need to.
