Salomon walking shoes (and other brands) will be stiffer, more stable, and heavier than a running shoe as they are intended to protect feet and assume carrying some load, like a pack. I dont know enough about the brand to tell what type of shoes are pictured, other than they are intended for trail type surfaces. This is RunningShoeGeeks.
