Only problems have been a couple of items that were covered by recalls — brake light switch and air conditioning — and those were taken care of right away and at no cost. Head gasket problems are a thing of the past.Im actually an Outback owner and was recommended to try the Forester forum for Crankshaft sensor location. I'm thinking the Camshaft and Crankshaft sensor are the same, as in one sensor does both. Can be done I think, 2 revs of the cam = 1 crank rev.
