Illidan is not a member of the alliance. Their whole defining characteristic is being imbued with the light.Or they could be gladiators who gained warrior-like tendencies on Draenor in order to survive the harsh war with the horde. A good example are the draenei peacekeepers you see posted around both Shattrath and The Exodar. Draenei warlocks are a very hidden few, but are known as the Sargerei, named for Sargeras.Just go back to the main city, set Chromie time to the Battle for Azeroth time and enter the instance from the map. How old was Khadgar in the events of Legion? In the book “ The Last Guardian” it is clearly stated that he was 17 when he was Medivh’s apprentice. He was physically aged dramatically when he and Lothar defeat Medivh, but that doesn’t mean he is actually older in terms of age.Sure, at the beginning WoD was pushing Grommash as the BBEG, and Gul'dan was more "in the shadow" for the first part of the expansion, but from the moment he defeated Grommash and took the Iron Horde, he surely had "main villain" vibes. I disagree on Sylvanas. She was the third Warbringer. She started the Fourth War. For Allied races, the most populace if overwhelmingly the Kultiran and Zandalari followed by the Lightforged, Dark Iron, Nightborne and Highmountain. Mechagnomes and Vulpera don't seem to be big on numbers but they are still significantly larger than the Mag'har and Void Elves which seem to be the fewest. Thats just my guess based on how they ... The Maruuk are said to have existed before the War of the Ancients, which was of course 10,000 years before the First War. The Centaur we see in modern Kalimdor, according to the lore, weren’t created until 1,100 years before the Dark Portal opened, which means overall there is a 8,900 year gap between the formation of one particular Centaur ... I do believe, however, that it is Canon that the orcs "won" the first war (see Warcraft: the movie). The humans were unprepared for the orcish invasion, and their losses actually spawned what is now "The Alliance." In lore the orcs were larger, stronger, and because of the blood corruption they were far more bloodthirsty than the humans.Mage is kind of a human/elven term, alongside things like sorcerer/wizard. A troll has a different culture and wouldn't call him or herself a mage, but might go by something like mystic or hexer. The same basic concept is there, that they utilize magic, the name is just different. Warpshard #Dal'rendDidNothingWrong • 3 yr. ago.I've been a fan of warcraft since warcraft 1 though. You're a relatively young member of your race who is about to go out into the world but you just need to do this one more big thing to prove that you're ready. Kil'jaeden. Cenarius & Burning Crusade Generals like Mannoroth. Illidan with skull, Arthas with Frostmourne, Malfurion, Kel'Thuzad (with sunwell) and the Forgotten one. They are typically unfit for battle, cowardly and lazy but their work is simply indispensable for the other orcs to focus on battle. Ok, but it doesn’t explain how they came to be. The physical deformities are from years of labor - sure. r/warcraftlore • Hey, I'm on a World of Warcraft mapping quest! 🧐 I've decided to try and map the WoW universe in as much detail as possible and thought it would be nice to hear your comments and ideas to help me improve 🤓 the image of the map in the postMy main issue with Shadowlands as a whole was that it didn’t feel like Warcraft to me. If it weren’t for the handful of faction leaders/heroes that stick around in Oribos, it would feel like a different IP altogether. Give it a try and see for yourself, but I personally wouldn’t really recommend it. Jicd • 8 mo. ago.A lot of Titan Keeper lore is like this. Thorim, Loken, Odyn - it's disastrously uncreative in a world that's otherwise teeming with incredible lore. Shadowlands, if they decided to de-canonize it, I wouldn’t bat an eye. Garrosh going evil and Sylvanas being evil in stupid ways. The cosmetic glyph that replaces the moonkin form with a blue translucent effect also gives you more of an opportunity for cosmetics. They are probably seen as less honorable than a warrior by their society in general just because poisons and backstabbing aren't exactly fair or brave, but their legality has never been in question like warlocks. Garrosh kept plenty of rogues, he ordered the warlocks to be killed. After the fall of Shattrath, a portion of the Draenei refugee population in Zangarmarsh fell ill after contact with a mysterious "red mist". This illness culminated in a total physical and somewhat mental shift, and -most disturbingly for the Draenei- a complete disconnection from the Light. The Zandalari Trolls are just exempt, you have many franchises that have Trolls and they mostly share the same concept of Trolls being dumb as a rock. Then you have the Majestic and civilized Zandalari Trolls, with their Caste System, worship of Loa and traditions. The vast majority of important events happen in books and RTS. While pretty big, the MMO (in my personal opinon) brings the least lore out of all mediums. If you are completely new to the lore, I'd suggest playing Warcraft RTS first and foremost.A warrior can kill every single class or individual you can dream up in the Warcraft Universe. When the opposing spellcaster is aware of the warrior and their threat, there is fuckall a warrior can do to counter that. The story is very simple. People blow up dragons and explore the new continent. There are some undertones in the narrative regarding Night Elves and also the Infinite Dragonflight.
