That sounds like the ideal setup, to be honest. As much as I love my Tacoma, campers do pair better with bigger trucks IMO. I've only done ~1,500 miles with Tacoma/Kimbo, so I can't speak to it too much yet, aside from highways not being the most fun since it drives best at around 60 mph.
