I've long admired nice capos, and owned most of what I considered the best models, from the Dan Crary brass capo, old Golden Gate, current Elliott, to original McKinney capos. One that I'd never got around to was the KatEyz. I use a 1993 McKinney/Tony Rice (predecessor to the Elliott) and a smaller profile Kat Eyz most of the time. They keep the strings in tune, are wonderful handcrafted mechanical machines, and look marvelous - I like the low-profile. But I always carry my old trustworthy standard Shubb around just in case - can't beat 'em for the money.It is functional but only goes sideways....
